We are a small family, ready for adventures, consisting of two adults, a young child, a poodle, two house cats, Swiss tabby cats, who in contrast to similar local cats appear somewhat rounder and with shorter legs. It could well be that they just like their food, like the rest of the family. Originally we came to Andalusia for a year. Due to the many two and four legged family members this was anything but simple. But it wasn’t an option to leave anyone behind. As our year abroad was nearing its end, we had to start preparations for the return journey. However, instead of doing this we looked for an opportunity to enable us to stay in what had become in the meantime, our beloved Andalusia. The dream became a reality.

Industry economist and most recently marketing director with Lucerne Tourist Board. In Andalusia Lukas has been able to follow his passions of welcoming  guests and ensuring their needs are met. He loves the mountains and any sports which he can practise in their heights. In the surrounding areas of Riogordo he can go cycling, hill walking and climbing. In Riogordo Lukas doesn’t even have to do without winter sports. In the Sierra Nevada there is a large ski resort that is suitable for all needs. He also dedicates time to dog agility sports and trains enthusiastically with our dog Picasso. When time allows he competes successfully in competitions. Lukas is also a loving father and gives his daughter much time and attention.

Alexia has a degree in Psychology behind her and was most recently employed at the Link Institute for Market Research. In contrast to Lukas, Alexia prefers wide open spaces rather than heights, e.g. the wide expanse of the sea has a hypnotic effect. For a long time Alexia was a dancer, from Ballet to jazz, flamenco to Salsa. Later she totally dedicated herself to the Korean fighting sport Taekwondo. However her sporting ambitions have somewhat given way to reading, photography and  filming, which she self edits. Her latest passion is sewing and she is a rather crazy mum, who likes dancing with her daughter  and singing loudly. That doesn’t mean that she sings well, forgive me for saying so. Alexia speaksuent Spanish as both her parents spoke Spanish with her. Now it is her daughter Dalia’s turn to enjoy this priceless and valuable gift.

Born in December 2013. Her passions are play parks, milk and her “woof woof” She is currently learning to speak and constantly astonishes us with her funny ideas, powers of observation and her understanding of what we are doing. She is very much a wanted child but nevertheless has us climbing the walls with her strength of character. Dalia currently attends the local day school as in Spain children go to school from the age of  three.

Shy, ginger tomcat.

Crazy tricolour cat.

Our middle sized poodle who has recently become somewhat calmer. He has the waggiest tail in the whole of Riogordo. He is friendly and playful with a good temperament.

We have four rooms to rent, all with their own bathroom and small kitchen. The rooms are next to each other on one level of CASA PAZ Y MÁS. Every room has its own separate entrance and a small trace with an amazing view. In three of the rooms you will find a double bed and in the other room there are two single beds for your convenience. All the rooms have their own television with satellite reception and free wifi. All rooms have a ceiling fan and a small heater. All bathrooms have a shower. The kitchens have a table top cooker, a microwave with  grill and a coffee machine. There is also cutlery and crockery for your use. We do not offer meals. Should you desire, we can prepare a breakfast tray , for an additional cost.

Every room has its own outside space with private access where you can  enjoy meals, read or simply enjoy the beautiful panoramas.

If you feel like some company we also offer a “Garage - Lounge”. The combination may sound rather strange but has two very important original sources. On the one hand we were inspired by our favourite cafe in Málaga, Retrobike, which as well as being a cycle workshop is also a coffee - restaurant and is really designed for long term sustainability. On the other hand we also wanted to offer a social area but weren’t allowed to completely change the use of the garage. This relatively new and very strictly enforced building regulation on country properties is due to the fact that many people altered buildings without any kind of planning consent. As a result building regulations are now very carefully controlled. In the Garage-Lounge we have cosy seating arrangements, books are there to be borrowed or to exchange and we have a coffee machine for your enjoyment. There is also a climbing wall built by Lukas for practising, but this too can be used at our guests’ own risk. You may arrive with your own or rented bikes , if this is not the case we can also provide bikes, should  you require  them.

The swimming pool on the upper level is a beautiful place for our guests to enjoy the company of others.

The old fashioned way On leaving the airport take the exit marked MA-20 or MA-21 in the direction of Granada/Sevilla. If you take the MA-20 this will automatically lead onto the MA-21. Follow this stretch of road for approximately 10km , then turn off onto the A-45 continuing in the direction of Granada/Sevilla. Continue on the A-45 until exit 124 for Casabermeja / Colmenar and the A-356. When on the A-356 continue towards Colmenar and towards Riogordo. Do not take the first exit for Riogordo but take the second exit which leads onto the A-7204. At the roundabout take the slip road marked Periana/Mondron/Alfarnate/Alfarnatejo. This road leads uphill for approximately 2 km and then on the left hand side you will see the sign for CASA PAZ Y MÁS. Turn left here and at the containers continue on up the hill to your right. At therst road junction take a left up the hill.

Welcome to CASA PAZ Y MÁS.
